| High volume production scanner. |
| This scanner MUST have the Image Processing Option included in order for it to work correctly with VRS. This is an option for the scanner and is not the Kofax AIPE option. You must obtain this option from the vendor whom sold the scanner. |
| This is the version of the Adrenaline runtime that is shipped with VRS 4.10 |
| Kofax stopped selling this product March 31, 2009. It may be possible to purchase an Adrenaline 650 board from a reseller who still has inventory.
The Adrenaline 650 is a full height PCI board (3.25 in. [8.2 cm] High x 4.75 in. [12.2 cm] Long) with a wide-SCSI connector and is used to control mid-volume to high-speed production document scanners.
This Adrenaline board does not include a license for AIPE. You must either purchase an Adrenaline 650i or a separate AIPE license. Purchasing a VRS Workgroup or Production License includes an AIPE license. |
| SCSI Cable used to connect a SCSI 3 device/host to a SCSI 3 host/device. Both connectors are HD 68 style connectors. |
| Licensed version of VRS Professional for Production type scanners. No Adrenaline SCSI board is included. AIPE is included. This configuration is also used when configuring an Adrenaline 650 board. However, the Adrenaline board must be purchased separately. |
| Known Issues: VRS 4.0 QC Later is currently not available for Hardware VRS scanners (Bowe Bell+Howell Spectrum, and Fujitsu fi-4860 and fi-4990). Support is scheduled for August 2005 for the Bowe Bell+Howell scanner and at some unknown future date for the Fujitsu scanners. This, however, does not apply to any Software VRS scanner.
